This project was an assignment in Digital Imaging where we were learning how to use Adobe Photoshop. The assignment was to tell a story in four slides with a consistent style. Works by established and published authors were preferred.
I was inspired by Shel Silverstein because of his clever and perplexing illustrations for his poetry. However, I felt that even some of his more simplistic poems deserved to have a visual representation as if to give the words a face and become memorable.
For this project, I practiced bringing in vector artwork from Adobe Illustrator into Adobe Photoshop. By using a black and white theme, I was enabled to focus more on the complex shapes rather than the stimulation of color. Origami and overlapping paper influenced parts of the overall theme.
Completed Fall Semester 2014.
